About Reform Ministry
To instruct Christians in the need of personal repentance as a way to participate in the ongoing work of sanctification by the Holy Spirit. This is how we gain spiritual freedom from the oppression of sin and obtain God’s healing of our mind, soul and body. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
To help Christians understand and fulfill their personal destinies that God has mapped out for them in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:10)
To help Christians understand the value of personal repentance as it relates to prayer and intercession. The privilege of the righteous is to stand before God on behalf of the unrighteous and seek God’s mercy. (Daniel 9:4-7)
Repentance Ministry is a ministry that promotes the benefits of personal repentance and dialogues with people about forsaking sin in order to draw closer to God. Repentance is a heartfelt sorrow for sin, a renouncing of it, and a sincere commitment to walk in obedience to Christ. The dynamics of repentance are the grace, power and supernatural ability given by the Holy Spirit to see our wrong doing as God sees it, to realize the offense before God, to turn away from trusting in sin and turn to God, trusting Him instead.
Our participation in this activity carries far-reaching potential for individual lives to be healed, whole families, cities and even a nation as God responds the way He says He will. “If my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) We can have hope at any level when we see that God is willing and able to forgive our sin. He offers us a second chance to do things right! This is tremendous good news!
Repentance Ministry, then, is not telling people how “bad” they are, but how much God is willing to display His love for them by removing things that are harmful to them. “But God being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved.)” (Ephesians 2: 4-5)
Repentance is what God requires from any person who wants to come to know Him. His will is for all persons everywhere to repent and be saved. “The Lord is not slow about His promise…not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) This, then, is the urgent call of Repentance Ministry, to make God’s requirement clearly understood so that people can turn from their sin, receive God’s forgiveness and be saved.
Prayer to Receive Forgiveness of Sin
If by browsing this website you have read some of this material and suddenly realize that you have never asked God to forgive you of your sins, then please take a moment to see what the Bible says and pray a simple prayer of faith.
Know that God loves you very much and sent His Son Jesus into the world so that we could be saved through Him. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.” (John 3: 16-17)
Your sin separates you from a holy God. That is why He seems so distant and out of reach from you.”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Realize that Christ’s death on the cross fulfilled God’s requirement of punishing sin. Christ was put to death in our place so that we could live. You can admit your sin to God, tell Him that you are sorry and ask Him to forgive you. This is the pardon that Jesus Christ won for us. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
You can speak to God now and ask Him to take away the guilt of your sin and to show you how to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
I believe that you are the Son of God and that You came to earth, died on the cross to pay for my sins, and You rose to life on the third day and You are now seated on Your throne in Heaven. Please forgive me of my sin. Take away my sin and selfishness and show me how to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen”
If you prayed that prayer, then you are now united with God and have His eternal life. Congratulations!
